What is the difference between a Frequent Traveller Saver and Single trip policy?
Both the Frequent Traveller Saver and Single Trip policies can cover you for overseas journeys and even allow you to return home during your policy period. The key difference lies in how often you travel, the level of cover you want, and how flexible you need your policy to be.
Frequent Traveller Saver Policy
Ideal for people who know they’ll be taking multiple trips in a 12-month period and want the convenience of one policy for the year.
- Multiple trips, one policy: Covers unlimited trips within 12 months, up to the maximum trip length you’ve chosen
- Comprehensive level of cover: Equivalent to our Comprehensive plan, with benefits such as unlimited overseas medical, trip cancellation, and luggage cover.
- Cruise cover included: Automatically built into the policy.
- Cancellation cover start date: Begins from the date you nominate on your Certificate of Insurance, not automatically from the purchase date (unless you select that).
- Tailored to your travel: You can adjust cover options to suit your style of travel.
- Eligibility: Available to travellers aged 75 years and under.
Single Trip Policy
Ideal if you’re planning just one holiday or a once-off overseas trip.
- One trip only: Covers a single journey, but you can return home within the period shown on your policy. You may also request an extension if you decide to stay overseas longer (an additional premium may apply).
- Choice of cover levels: Three options available, Comprehensive, Standard Saver, or Basics, so you can select the right fit for your trip and budget. However, if you choose Snow Sports, the policy available is Snow Sports Plus.
- Optional extras: Customise your policy with additional cover, such as Cruise Pack or Snow Pack, for an extra premium.
- Eligibility: Available to travellers aged 89 years and under.
Price differences
Premiums vary based on factors such as:
- Your travel destination(s).
- How long you’ll be away.
- The level of cover and optional extras you choose.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
