Can I buy a Fast Cover policy now to start once I’m already overseas?

If you are still in Australia and have not yet departed, you cannot purchase an Already Overseas policy to begin once you arrive overseas. 

An Already Overseas policy can only be purchased when you are already overseas, and you meet all eligibility criteria at the time of purchase. It is not available to buy in advance while you are still in Australia. 

If you are planning an overseas trip and have not yet left Australia, you would need to purchase a standard international travel insurance policy before you depart.
