Are prescription medicines prescribed by a doctor overseas covered?

Cover is provided under our policies for prescription medication prescribed for new medical conditions developed during your overseas trip. 

There is no cover for the follow up of medical treatment including the cost of buying prescription medication for medical conditions which you had prior to your departure for your trip, even if the medical condition is listed as a covered condition on your certificate of insurance. 

As each individual’scircumstances are different, in the event ofa claim, our claims team will assess each claim on a case by casebasis.

Cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
