What is a DUO policy?
A Duo policy under Fast Cover Travel Insurance is a policy designed for a traveller and another person they are travelling with on the same itinerary for at least 75% of the trip who is listed in the Certificate of Insurance. This means the two travellers can be a couple or friends, and they do not need to be related.
Under the Duo policy, we will issue one Certificate of Insurance, however, both persons have cover as if they are each insured under separate policies with Single benefit limits per insured person. The benefit limits will apply separately to each traveller, except for Benefit 19: Rental Vehicle Excess, where the limits apply collectively. Although both travellers are listed on the same Certificate of Insurance, each traveller under the policy generally can make separate claims without affecting the other’s coverage.
No cover is provided for dependants under the Duo policy. You may choose to take out a Single policy or Family policy to include cover for your dependants.
Eligibility criteria, policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and sub limits apply. Consider the PDS prior to deciding on which policy is right for you and your needs.
