Does travel insurance cover weather events?

Fast Cover travel insurance may provide cover for unexpected severe weather events that occur after you have purchased your policy and that directly affect your travel plans. This can include disruptions such as cancelled or delayed flights, accommodation issues, or other trip interruptions caused by extreme weather.

It’s important to note that the Basics policy only provides medical and personal liability cover. It does not include cover for cancellations, trip disruptions, or other costs caused by severe weather.
