Can you buy travel insurance after booking a flight?

Travel insurance can be purchased after booking your flight. 

For some policies, cancellation cover begins from the date the policy is issued, not the departure date. This means any unexpected events that occur before you buy your policy may not be covered. 

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
