What should I do if my rental car is damaged or stolen?

You should:

1. Advise your rental car company as soon as you can. 

2. The rental car company will put together a repair account and/or quote for the cost of repairing the rental vehicle (sometimes referred to as a damage report), which will specify the dollar amount of the damage that’s been caused, or in the event that your rental car has been stolen, the cost of replacement.

3. You can then: 

a. Submit a claim with us and include the:
i. repair account or quote
ii. rental car agreement
iii. rental car insurance policy, OR
b. Submit a claim with your rental car company, pay the excess and then submit a claim with us.
