My travelling companion is hospitalised for a pre-existing medical condition, am I covered for trip disruption or cancellation?

Whether or not you can claim depends on your particular circumstances.

You may have cover for trip disruption or cancellation expenses where you can reasonably show that you were not aware of the likelihood of their sickness, injury or death of your travelling companion at the time you purchased your policy.

You are free to make a claim, and the Claims team will assess your claim and make a decision based on your particular circumstances.
