I’m going overseas for 4–5 years and intend to come home afterwards, can I buy a 2-year policy?

Fast Cover travel insurance policies can cover you for a maximum of 2 years if you meet the eligibility criteria. This is done by first purchasing a 12-month Single Trip policy, then extending it for another 12 months before your departure date.

If you’re planning to be overseas for 4–5 years, you would not be able to buy cover for the entire period under one policy. Once the maximum 2-year policy ends, you will no longer be covered under the policy.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
