What is considered a 'set' under the luggage benefit?
A set is generally when two or more items are designed to be used together or are related pieces that form a group. If something belongs to a pair or a set, it’s treated as one item for claim purposes. This means the claim is based on the value of the part that was lost, stolen or damaged, rather than the value of the entire set.
Common examples of sets include:
-
a camera with its lenses, tripod and accessories
-
a matching pair of earrings
If only part of the set is affected, the benefit payable applies to that portion only, up to the relevant item limits.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
