Does travel insurance cover my missed domestic flight if my international flight home is delayed?

A domestic flight that connects with your international trip may be considered part of your holiday, as long as the date is included in your policy and you have listed ‘Australia’ as part of your travel destination. 

If your international flight back to Australia is delayed and you miss your domestic connection, you may be covered. Whether a claim is payable will depend on the reason for the delay or cancellation and the terms of your policy.
