What is an Unspecified item under my policy?

An Unspecified Item means Luggage and personal effects that have not been listed as covered on your certificate of insurance with a nominated sum insured.

You do not need to declare Unspecified items at the time of purchasing your policy. All items are treated as Unspecified unless they have been individually declared and listed as Specified High Value Items.

The sub-limits that apply to individual Unspecified items are:

• Up to $3,000 for stand-alone personal computers, cameras and video recorders (excluding devices with integrated cameras or recording functions, such as mobile phones, Drones or similar devices);

• Up to $1,500 for mobile phones and other portable communication equipment;

• Up to $1,000 for small mobile hand-held computers including tablet devices like iPads;

• Up to $750 for any other Unspecified items or set

The total amount payable for all unspecified items combined will depend on your selected policy and is outlined in the benefit summary provided in your Certificate of Insurance.

Eligibility criteria, policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and sub limits apply. Consider the PDS prior to deciding on which policy is right for you and your needs.

Any advice is general advice only and does not take into account your individual objectives, financial situation, or needs. Please consider the PDS before making any decisions regarding the purchase of travel insurance.

As each individual’s circumstances are different, we will assess each claim on a case-by-case basis in accordance with your specific circumstances, policy terms, and Certificate of Insurance.
