Are drones covered under my policy?

Cover is available for loss, theft or damage to Drones (including camera drones) under  Benefit 14: Luggage and Personal Effects.  A sub limit of $750 applies to Unspecified items which includes drones, and is subject to depreciation. 

Drones are defined in our policy as any unmanned aircraft or ship that is guided remotely, including its parts or any attached or unattached accessories. 

We do not pay for the damage to a drone while it is in use or if confiscated by authorities, whether in use or not. 

As each individual’s circumstances are different, we will assess each claim on a case by case basis and in accordance with your specific circumstances, policy terms and Certificate of Insurance.    

Cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
