Am I covered if my doctor said I was ok to travel, but my condition worsened on my trip?

If your doctor has advised that you are fit to travel because your condition was not serious, you were not aware of and do not have any other complicating pre-existing medical conditions, you would have provision to claim for the medical and additional expenses.

However, if you were aware that you have other pre-existing medical conditions which would complicate your condition, or of the seriousness of your condition where it could potentially get worse, there would be no provision to claim.

Refer to our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for more information on pre-existing medical conditions.

Note:

This is general advice only. The claims team would assess each claim on a case by case basis and the outcome of your claim will depend on your specific situation.

For more information, refer to our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
