Can I add my nieces and nephews to a Fast Cover Family travel insurance policy?

Nieces and nephews cannot be included as dependants under a Fast Cover Family policy unless they meet the policy’s definition of a dependant.

Under the Fast Cover PDS, a dependant means your children or grandchildren, or children or grandchildren of whom you are the legal guardian, who are not in full time employment, are aged 20 and under, and are travelling with you for 100 percent of the trip itinerary.

This means a niece or nephew would only be eligible if you are their legal guardian and they meet all of the criteria above. If they do not meet this definition, they cannot be added to your Family policy and will need to take out their own separate travel insurance policy.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
