I'm overseas - my doctor first told me I could fly home in 48 hrs, but changed it to 72 hours, so I had to rebook my return flight twice and incurred expenses twice. Am I covered for both expenses?

If cover for your sickness or injury is available under your policy, you may have cover under the Trip Disruption benefit for the expenses that you have incurred to rebook your flights twice.

Please make sure that you have all supporting documentation (including your doctor's report confirming the change to the date that you were allowed to fly home) and receipts for these expenses.

Note:

  • There is no Trip Disruption cover under the Basics policy.

You are free to make a claim, and the Claims team will assess your claim and make a decision based on your particular circumstances.

Cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
