What if my policy expires while I'm still processing a claim?
Your travel insurance claim with Fast Cover can still be processed even if your policy has expired. As long as the event that led to your claim occurred during the period of your policy cover, your claim will be assessed, even after the policy end date.
How Claims Are Handled After Policy Expiry
- You can submit a claim during the period of your policy or after your policy has expired (the return date specified on your Certificate of Insurance).
- The Claims Team will assess your claim based on the circumstances and supporting documentation you provide.
- Coverage is only available for events that occurred during the active period of your policy. Events that occur after the policy has expired are not covered.
Eligibility criteria, policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and sub limits apply. Consider the PDS prior to deciding on which policy is right for you and your needs.
Any advice is general advice only and does not take into account your individual objectives, financial situation, or needs. Please consider the PDS before making any decisions regarding the purchase of travel insurance.
As each individual’s circumstances are different, we will assess each claim on a case-by-case basis in accordance with your specific circumstances, policy terms, and Certificate of Insurance.
