What should I do if my camera is damaged while travelling?
If your camera is damaged during your trip, you should protect it from further harm and gather evidence of the damage. Keep any receipts, warranty details, or proof of purchase, as these will help support your claim. You may also need to provide documentation such as a repair report or written confirmation that the item cannot be repaired.
You can submit a claim under the Luggage and Personal Effects benefit. Depending on the circumstances, the claim may be paid for whichever is lesser: the cost to repair the item, or the cost to replace the item, or the original purchase price of the item less depreciation.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
