Am I covered if I contract COVID-19, travel overseas, get really sick (from my COVID-19 infection) while overseas and have to see a doctor?

Certain cover is provided under our policy for overseas emergency medical, hospital and evacuation expenses for COVID-19 infection if you have written confirmation from your medical practitioner that you are fit to travel, prior to your departure for your trip.

Note:

  • There is no cover available where your COVID-19 diagnosis is made within 72 hours of the policy being purchased.
  • There is no cover available for the continuation or follow up of medical treatment (including medication and ongoing immunisations) that started prior to your trip.
  • You are free to make a claim, and the Claims team will assess your claim and make a decision based on your particular circumstances.

Cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
